Black powdercoated metal body frame and HICKORY wood with hand oiled finish. Fancy carved dash, wooden pleasure shafts. Dual purpose metal single tree. CHROME hardware. Wooden spares box. Full three-piece combination wedge seat covered in marine vinyl adjustable for driver and passenger or driver sitting in center of cart. Spares box under seat for spares and storage. Barely used wooden Country Road Cart with a very-easy-entry design and fixed drop shafts. Always stored inside and covered. Will ideally fit 12.1 to 13.1 hands. Light walnut stain, clear varnish, black patent shaft wraps and trace guides; iron work is painted black. Brass appointments include whip socket, shaft tips, rein rail and under- seat spare’s box with nice latch. Also included are flush hubs, long toe rail on floor, easy entry and exit, tan Bedford-cord upholstery with adjustable, full-bench wedge seat and back rest.

Used, very nice looking, cob-sized, stick-back gig. Maker unknown, possibly made in Canada, this show cart has been recently painted black with red pin striping. Included are American post mount lamp brackets, wooden wheels with hard rubber tires and large spares area under the seat.

This cart is not perfectly finished, but it is sound. It is perfect for the beginner who wants to start pleasure showing without spending a lot of money. The seat cushion needs to be replaced and a drop apron added. Weighs 255 lbs.

The “Perry Road Cart” was made by the ABBOT BUGGY CO. in Chicago, IL and sold through Bryant Carriage Co, St. Louis, MO. in 1884.
